FG500 problems

Hej I am sorry to write in english, but I dn't know french.
I have a FG500 but I am having problems. I have the winXP in my computer and when i connect the the hard disk to my computer the winXp detected, after i start the format32 and everything ok. But when i decide to make the partition i followed the procedures in the windows disk management, but I formated there again the hard disk. after that I copied some files to the disk and everything was ok. but after i turned off the computer and on again the winxp wasn't enable to detect the hard drive again, i tried almost everything and nothing. I even tried the windows 98 and I can't see anything. the win98 detects but no drive letter are assign.
Please help

Hi, I don't know so much about this device so I can't really help you. But I noticed that: FG-500 is copyrighted by noontec, a chinese brand that you can eventually contact (in english). Unfortunately there's no help from the rixid staff by here, in my case I gave up and send it back to the store.

As you can see this place is so full of wind, no one to answer you when you're in trouble. This product is completly instable, it works one time, during some hours. And then, you want to upload some movies or else to the hard drive, it still works but when you plug it to your tv, you won't be able to see nothing but a blue page with" initialisation...do not power off" And although the device has no fan it remains very noisy and hot !! Next time I see a rixid (or noontec) machine I'll run like hell.

compte le nombre de probleme et rapportre le à 5000 boitiers vendu et en circulation et après tu pourras dire a tout le monde que le fg-500 c'est du caca

tu dois pas souvent prendre l'avion, la voiture, le train.... pire le jour ou tu auras une ampoule au pied tu ne les utiliseras plus???

Hi tatoocat, I live in London but it was a gift from a french frend who send it to me by air mail for my birthday. I don't know where exactly he bought it. I hope you will be able to help me although I don't understand a word in french, thanks .
